On 6-7 March 2024, ASTRA National Museum Complex represented Sibiu County at the Congress of the European People's Party (EPP) hold at Romexpo, Bucharest. The Museum exhibition stand offered the possibility of discovering and valorisation of the tangible and intangible heritage through the use of VR technology.

More than 2,000 delegates from 40 countries, including heads of state and government, attended the Congress.

With the help of the two VR headsets, the Congress delegates were able to experience ASTRA  Open air museum heritage, in particular the one from the two monuments included in the project (the shepherd's homestead and the sheepfold from Rășinari, Sibiu county and the beeswax candle maker's homestead from Sebeșu de Jos, Sibiu county).
